The Elect Methodists : Calvinistic Methodism in England and Wales, 1735-1811
Jones contributed the first four chapters to the volume, analysing the early growth of English and Welsh Calvinistic Methodism within the context of international evangelicalism, informed by his work on various aspects of the eighteenth-century evangelical movement. White focused on the growth of Welsh Methodism after 1750 utilising her extensive research on eighteenth-century Welsh religion and culture, contributing pp. 97-111 in chapter 5, chapter 6 and 9 and pp. 216-32 in chapter 10. Jones was the initiator of the project and took overall responsibility for collating the authors’ contributions, and co-ordinated the editing of the volume.
