Additional information

This output has resulted in an industrial collaboration with PepsiCo International (contact: PC process manager MOS at PepsiCo) to evaluate the application of the hybrid plasma surface alloying process to food processing tools for enhanced anti-wear and anti-corrosion performance. Line trial tests indicated that the lifespan of Pepsico’s potato slicing blades was increased from 30 minutes to more than two hours, resulting in an increase in production efficiency from 48% to 95%.
