Additional information

Paper describes first industrially-applicable method for applying modal-analysis methods (which date back to 1960s) to structures which do not conform to linear assumptions of classical methods. Work funded by UTC contract from AgustaWestland, where method is currently in use [contact: Head of Structural Dynamics]. Basis of one of 5 themes in EPSRC Programme Grant on "Engineering Non-linearity" (EP/K003836/1, £4.2M, 2012-7).
