Additional information

Practical quantum computers require integrated memory elements. Paper is first to show integration of quantum memory with photonic waveguide, which was previously thought to be impossible. Work was collaboration with University of Sheffield [contact: Prof. Skolnick] where device has now been fabricated and will form part of prototype quantum computer.
