Additional information
This paper presents the experimental results of temperature distribution in fire in typical steel-concrete composite joints with different fire-protection schemes using intumescent coating, which is currently the most popular type of fire protection and represents about 50% of the passive fire-protection market in the UK. The research is funded by EPSRC and leads to the development of three practical fire protection schemes on partial fire protection as effective alternatives to full fire protection of the entire joint assembly.
