ZnO nanoparticulate thin films were fabricated on flexible indium tin oxide (ITO) covered PET substrates for use in flexible solar cells. The identification of the fundamental new concept of charge transport directions and the exciton-dissociation interface will act to further improve photovoltaic performance through optimization of material selection, device design and processing technology.
