Additional information

The paper advances the state of the art in micro machining by describing for the first time a new dynamics model of chatter in micro-milling. The reported research was part of the EPSRC IMRC funded MicroTool project and the results have been successfully used in developing new strategies for machining of ultra-precision complex components for volume manufacture of new generation of healthcare products (Ref Alex O'Malley, Calon Cardio Ltd, email: alex@caloncardio.com).
