Additional information

CFD methodology development is described in this paper relating to the reduction of parasitic losses within rotating machinery, impacting carbon emissions and efficiency. This work is a direct precursor to gear windage reduction and integrated into on-going collaborative research, which was transferred into RR and resulted in design changes over the REF period, RR plc colin.young@rolls-royce.com
