Oliveira was heavily involved in the quality control of the spectra and the point-source classification of the whole sample. She devised the young-stellar-object classification scheme; this is one of the cornerstones of the source-classification tree that uses a variety of spectral features to classify any stellar object from embedded young stars, stars with disks, evolved stars of varied chemistry, etc. Oliveira also wrote the corresponding sections in the article.
