Additional information

An international collaboration with U. of Bologna, Italy, to push forward the modelling of the effect of flow concentration on impact effects of particles in pipelines when conveying abrasive materials. Results have been embedded in the second largest UK supplier of renewable solid fuels (Forever Fuels, Bruno Prior <bruno@summerleaze.com>) (modifying their operational practices for fuel delivery so the customer gets a better product) also for new £90m biomass handling facility at Drax Power Station ( JPethulis@shepherd-construction.co.uk). Also led to a 3-year follow on project funded by the world’s largest chemical company (BASF, Germany). Researcher: PI
