First ever direct measurements of bed shear stress for large-scale laboratory swash. The experiments were carried out in the Aberdeen swash facility designed by O’Donoghue. Collaborative work with University of Queensland, Australia (Baldock, t.baldock@uq.edu.au); stimulated a subsequent major EPSRC-funded (EP/E0113301) research project involving collaboration with University of Nottingham.
