The book presents documents relating to Mauricio Kagel’s appearances at the International Summer Courses for New Music at Darmstadt, including Kagel’s correspondence with the relevant directors, transcripts of the talks he gave and reprints of the resulting publications as well as tabular overviews of his contributions. The documents are complemented with a critical introduction evaluating Kagel’s importance for the Darmstadt courses.
