Additional information

The work presented in this paper demonstrates the potential benefit of a patented solids mass flow measurement device to the experimental study of heat transfer in multi-phase flow systems and the use of this data for model validation. The ability to measure mass flow rate of solids in a pneumatic conveying line has many applications in increasing process efficiency in industry sectors from power generation to food production. The development of a device which operates by the thermal method is a significant advance in the field. The work was in collaboration with colleagues from Guangdong University of Technology, China.
