<01> Our contribution to this work was to extrapolate experimental findings to the experience of real users. Although very informative this is

novel in the field of mobile computing since suitably representative

datasets are hard to build and analyze.

Possible influences might be for cellular companies doing capacity

planning (ongoing collaboration with Telenor) or for tools

to manage battery life. Work in this direction is continuing

with the group in Purdue who were joint authors.

ACM SIGMETRICS is the principal conference for the measurement and

modelling community. In 2012 it had an acceptance rate of 15%.
