Additional information

This work extended previous optimisation of current Rolls-Royce compressor blades in collaboration with Cambridge University Engineering Design Centre. It led onto one of one of the first true multi-objective optimisations for all four unconstrained design parameters, explaining earlier, experimental- findings. (contact Geoff Parks gtp10@cam.ac.uk)

The methods have now been adopted across a wide range of multi-disciplinary aerodynamic applications including projects (total value £350k) funded by Airbus (Murray.Cross@airbus.com) and also within the EPSRC UK Applied Aerodynamics HPC Consortium (GR/F005954, £2.76M).
