Double-weighted statement

The Celtic Evil Eye and Related Mythological Motifs in Medieval Ireland is based on the collection and analysis, over many years, of a large, varied textual corpus and is the culmination of two substantial research-projects established and carried out by the author (Signs of Doom and The Power of Words in Medieval Ireland). This volume presents a theoretical framework encompassing complex religious and cultural concepts. The monograph views medieval Irish culture/religion within a wider global religious/cultural context and opens the field to other academic disciplines by providing updated and annotated translations of a wide range of challenging Irish texts.
