Additional information

<23> This paper is a journal version of previous ECCV08 and CVPR09 presentations. Its work, on detecting carried objects, has since been applied to the detection of suspicious activity related to baggage exchange in various environments. Due to the obvious application of this technology to anti-terroism, the work has been followed up by the University of Leeds in a EU project (SUBITO, FP7-SECURITY, project reference: 218004, EUR 3,897,587, 2009-2011,) and a DARPA funded project (VIGIL).
