Additional information

This collaborative work with the Nonwovens Institute, NC, is the first parametric approach to modelling of discontinuous, anisotropic, non-homogeneous and highly nonlinear structure of nonwovens. The problem of developing a new model every time time for a different structure has been solved by the parametric modelling technique, which allows simulating complicated patterns and structures. This work sets the standards and leads the research in this field. (Professor Behnam Pourdeyhimi, Director of the Nonwovens Institute, North Carolina, USA; email: bpourdey@ncsu.edu)
