Additional information

<12>This paper presents the first attempt to compare biometric fusion algorithms, involving 22 fusion systems. Two novel evaluation schemes were proposed, namely, in the context of varying levels of biometric sample quality and operational cost constraints. As a result of the evaluation, several algorithms have been developed to address the two schemes. It is likely the first time that it has been possible to compare fusion algorithms on a common basis, providing a benchmark for the evaluation schemes.
