Additional information

This was the major output from a NERC Urgency grant research project (NE/I019468/1) on the environmental impacts of a catastrophic tailings dam failure. Mayes and Jarvis were invited to speak at a British Geological Survey (BGS) meeting with Dr Zoltan Illes, Hungarian Minister of State for Environment, because of the significance of the work (contact: Dr Helen Reeves, Head of Science Land Use, Planning & Development, BGS; hjre@bgs.ac.uk).
