Additional information
<19>This paper exposes serious security vulnerabilities in the most widely used contactless smartcard, the Mifare Classic. This work proposes novel techniques which enable card-only cryptanalysis of the Mifare Classic. This work led to massive multimillion dollar migrations in public transport ticketing systems like Oyster in London and OV in The Netherlands. This paper has been published at IEEE Security and Privacy, the very best venue for computer security (AR=10.2%) where it was awarded with the `Outstanding paper award'. This work led to several invited talks and an invitation to provide expert advice at the Dutch Parliament.
