International Politics and Performance : Critical Aesthetics and Creative Practice
The book investigates the interdisciplinary conjunction of international politics and performance studies through convergence of interests in aesthetic politics and the politics of aesthetics. It examines both the performative turn in international politics and the return to the political in performance studies, exploring the development of trans-disciplinary critical and creative methods. With contributors drawn from the Aberystwyth University Distinguished Speaker Series in Performance and Politics, the book demonstrates the editors’ role in establishing this interdisciplinary field of inquiry.
