Additional information

This paper presents a novel complete systems methodology for the holistic design optimization of poly-generation energy systems, based on which future energy scenarios can be systematically analyzed in terms of energy efficiency, cost, and environmental impact under uncertain conditions and risk. The research is part of our energy systems engineering research vision and programme, presented at plenary lectures [PSE Asia 2013 [http://www.cheme.utm.my/pseasia2013/, ECCE-6], featured in review articles [I&ECR] and special issues [Energy & CACE journals] and led to new funding [EPSRC EP/GO59071/1 and EU PIRSES-GA-2011-294987].
