Additional information

This paper presents an original interactive optimisation algorithm to bring qualitative and quantitative design criteria together (funded via Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), Prof Hideyuki Takagi, takagi@design.kyushu-u.ac.jp). The results have led to a Technology Strategy Board (TSB) project that applies new interactive gaming technologies to digitise complex manufacturing process knowledge (Grant TSB120193, £430k, EADS UK and AERTEC). The outputs are being field tested in EADS UK (Pablo Bermell-Garcia, pablo.bermell-garcia@eads.com).
