Additional information

This paper led to the development of 2D holographic projection technology at Cambridge, underpinned by GBP459k funding (RG42466) (11/2007-9/2009) from industrial collaborator Alps Electric. Shinichi Sasagawa from Alps Electric, Japan, ID_in_audit_file@jp.alps.com, stated that Alps is developing a Hologram Projector based on the work at Cambridge, and is aiming to start mass production in early next year. This paper also led to an invited paper at the Workshop and Topical Meeting on “Novel Optical Materials and Applications” in Certraro, Italy (June 2013), entitled "Digital holography as a platform for tuneable optical systems".
