Death and Dying in the Neolithic Near East
This substantial, single-authored monograph comprises 372 pages of text and images, published by one of the most respected international academic publishers (Oxford University Press). It represents the final output of a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship and comprises original research with new interpretations of an extensive archaeological data set spanning over 5,000 years of prehistory from across the Middle East (Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Palestine, Syria and Turkey), drawing on a wide range of themes from archaeological and anthropological discourse. We consider that the scale of the research activity and the scope of the resultant volume are equivalent to two single outputs.
