Double-weighted statement

This book is the product of more than 10 years of research and fieldwork. The argument focuses on transformation of identity and the restructuring processes associated with such restructuring – requiring multiple interviews, and interviews separated by several years. The nature of the argument and its presentation is complex, involving the development and testing of a significant re-thinking of structuralist theory. This approach is developed in the context of the ethnography, and extensively argued in the theoretical appendix.
