Additional information

This output reports on the effect of biodiesel content to lower heating value (LHV) of biodiesel and has developed new LHV prediction models which correlate the LHV with biodiesel fraction, density and viscosity. Its publication led to international interest from the USA and China for keynote conference speeches and book chapters. This work builds on research for other types of new alternative fuels and led to an international collaborative project between Huddersfield and Taiyuan University, 800,000 Yuan funded by the National Science Foundation of China, aiming to develop a more efficient and cleaner combustion for IC engines.
