Additional information

Grimley 2011 was published in conjunction with a major festival, ‘Sibelius and his World’, held at Bard College, NY State in August 2011, at which Grimley was the scholar-in-residence. The volume is a specially-commissioned collection of essays, not a proceedings. Grimley’s contribution includes an original full-length chapter (containing a hitherto unpublished work by Sibelius), prefaces to the translated documents in the final section of the book (pp. 307ff), and a lengthy translation from Swedish texts in the final article (on the Sibelius monument), pp. 338-54.
