Additional information

Based on extensive fieldwork funded by Neumann's grant from the Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries (KFPE), and supported by the Bangladesh office of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), this work integrates rigorous laboratory-based science with a strongly applied focus. The results support the successful implementation of the investigated zero-valent iron (ZVI)-based filters in several arsenic-affected regions of Bangladesh (Contact: Dr A. K. M. Munir, General Secretary, Manob Sakti Unnayan Kendro (MSUK), Bangladesh; akmmunir@msuk-bd.org, +8807161335).
