Additional information
The structural model for tyre vibration that is derived, and experimentally validated, in this paper supercedes previous attempts by including all key physical features. The work arose from an EPSRC project (EP/D011035/1; £265k) in which Jaguar Land Rover were joint partners. The collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover has continued, with a long-term goal of incorporating the model into the company's tools for noise and vibration prediction (Contact: Malcolm Hardy; ID_in_audit_file@jaguarlandrover.com)
