US Policy towards Cuba : Since the Cold War
This monograph draws upon the collection and analysis of a considerable body of primary and secondary materials over nine years. The principal sources were over 120 US congressional hearings, multiple congressional reports, extensive debate in the Congressional Record, and reports produced by the Congressional Research Service, General Accounting Office/Government Accountability Office, US Agency for International Development, and US International Trade Commission. It also draws upon a primary-source based investigation into the Washington-led campaign against Cuban human rights violations at the UN Commission on Human Rights and several substantive interviews in Miami and Washington with activists, policymakers, and experts.
