Evangelicalism and Fundamentalism in the United Kingdom during the Twentieth Century
Through over twenty case studies from all parts of the United Kingdom, the essays in this volume examine whether evangelicalism is the Christian expression of religious fundamentalism– an assumption commonly made in the historical literature and wider public discourse. With international contributors from across the disciplinary spectrum, most of whom originally presented papers at a series of project symposia, this volume demonstrates the co-editor’s role in stimulating and directing the research, and bringing the project to fruition.
Jones’ contribution: setting the research agenda and editing the volume; co-authoring introduction, pp. 1-14; sole authored chapter, pp. 289-308; co-authoring conclusion, pp. 366-76.
