This output is the result of a collaboration between BU, University of Malaya (UM), ASIVR (http://asivr.ump.edu.my/index.php) and Quadrant-2 (contact: Mahatathir Muhammad Umar al-Attas, company director, www.mdt-quadrant2.com.my, http://mdt-quadrant2.com.my/home.php). Quadrant-2 are one of the leading companies providing maintenance and condition monitoring services to key Malaysian industries. This novel and cost effective technique enables Quadrant-2 to determine the dynamic characteristic of machinery during operation. They are now self sufficient in condition monitoring and dignosis of all classes of rotating machinery while it is in service. A follow-on research project has already been started and is fully funded by the UM.
