This work describes the use of iron-platimum hybrid nanoparticles for biomedical application. This work has been disseminated at international level (EMR-S in France & Hybrid Materials in Italy) and has resulted in a UK Patent (PE954566GB). This work was resulting from a national collaboration between St. Andrews University and University of Dundee; has promoted the formation of international partnerships including the Lacroix-Desmazes group in France, Faye group in Senegal, Aoyama group in Japan, and the Ribierre group in Korea.
