Additional information

The research was another aspect of that presented in (3). This work investigated the correlation between the engine/exhaust temperature and the concentration on Nitric Oxide (NO2) emissions of a diesel engine. The NOx emissions from biodiesel and its blends proved to be higher than those of petro-diesel fuel and a strong correlation was found relating the NOx emissions and the flame temperature. This study has ramifications for the wider adoption of bio-fuels and associated engine design.
