Double-weighted statement

Professor Dobson’s monograph, published by Cambridge University Press, is extensive in its scale and scope. The book, at over 450 pages, contains the collection and analysis of a considerable body of material. The empirical analyses are done on a number of large data sets, all of which were time consuming to put together. Each data set had to be created from numerous different primary sources. Almost every one of the fourteen chapters contains new research material, equivalent in standard to numerous high quality journal papers. The book was the sole focus of Professor Dobson’s research for well over 2 years.
