Additional information

The paper addresses a key concern in the application and the performance of fibre-reinforced concrete. The paper has spurred activities in model development to predict fibre orientation (CEM CONCR RES 2011, 41, 993-1000) and new techniques to assess fibre orientation (MATER STRUCT 2012, 45, 575-589). The work also forms the basis for a new research proposal to EPSRC on mapping and modeling damage in fibre reinforced concrete.
