Additional information

<11> This paper was an output from the Leverhulme-funded project on Argument Schemes in Natural and Artifical Communication (F/00 143/C, £66k) which was collaborative with Walton (then of UWinnipeg). The paper lays out an architecture for automating parts of the argument analysis process. This architecture was subsequently refined for a preliminary project (JISC, £54k) on argument mining with ULondon and IndianaU involving Google, and for laying the foundation for a 2M euro STREP proposal, to be submitted in 2014, which brings together natural language processing with argument structures, and is collaborative with partners in France and Poland.
