Additional information

<23> Methods for estimating lattice structure from images exhibiting translational symmetry are proposed. This research was part of the £1.4m TSB-funded FABRIC project (Fashion and Apparel BRowsing for Inspirational Content, TP/5/DAT/6/1/HO556K) on which University of Dundee was lead partner with McKenna as Principal Investigator. Partners were Liberty Art Fabrics, System Simulation Ltd. and the V&A Museum. Algorithms described were applied within that project to analysis of textile designs, and used in automatic generation of visualizations of textile collections that featured on the V&A Museum's public website, and which inspired the 'Visualiser' designs in Liberty's 2012 collection. ECCV2008 acceptance rate was 28%.
