Significance of output:

This paper describes results of collaborative research with Laboratoire Plasma et Conversion D’Energie, Institut National Polytechnique de Tolouse, France. It reports on the independent development of theoretical models that are validated using data obtained from a set of unique experiments at each Institution. The models represent an advance by incorporating spatially distributed processes and make a significant contribution to the understanding of the ageing processes of polymeric insulation under ac and dc electrical stress.
