Significance of output:

This describes the route by which iterative learning control was successfully applied to the challenge of robotic-assisted stroke rehabilitation. The paper brings together algorithm development, engineering experimental verification, tests with unimpaired subjects to enable clinical trials. To game-changing concept presented here is to make the reference signal patient-centred, whereby, the patient’s trajectory is only partially specified.
