Additional information
<22>This is the first well-developed, formal, implemented, and instantiated OWL ontology for legal case-based reasoning, thus providing a framework to systematically represent, reason, and query detailed aspects of legal cases via computers. It is formally correct, extensible, and machine transmittable. The paper builds significantly on a further article in the same journal within the REF period: Wyner, An ontology in OWL for legal case-based reasoning, Artificial Intelligence and Law, 16(4):361--387, 2008, doi:10.1007/s10506-008-9070-8. This is the pre-eminent journal at the interface between Artificial Intelligence and Law.
