An immune-inspired approach to qualitative system identification of biological pathways
<28>The experiment reported in this paper is the first successful application of immune-inspired approaches to qualitative system identification of biological pathways. It builds upon a conference paper of ICARIS 2009, the top conference in artificial immune systems. It was one of the five papers selected for publication in the journal natural computing among 30 accepted at the conference (http://tinyurl.com/cvbn5b2). Its impact lies in that the developed approach offers a more efficient and cheaper in silico approach to system identification of biological pathways, and this approach is successfully adopted in the BBSRC project CRISP (Combinatorial Responses In Stress Pathways), 2008-2013.
