It is a longer version of a paper published in the proceedings of the European Semantic Web Conference 2008 – acceptance rate: 19%. The provenance model described in the paper now forms part of a wider programme of work within the RCUK dot.rural Digital Economy Hub (EP/G066051/1, £11.8M) and has also led to a number of follow-on projects including Trusted Tiny Things (EPSRC IT as a Utility Network+, £80K), and TRUMP – a large UK-India collaboration exploring a trusted mobile platform for healthcare (EP/J00068X/1, £880K).
