Additional information

<24>This builds on a 2008 paper and extends it to deal with real-valued data (Guerin, F. and McKenzie, D. "A Piagetian model of early sensorimotor development." In Proceedings of the Eighth International Conference on Epigenetic Robotics, University of Sussex, July 30-31, 2008, 13 citations in Google Scholar). It addresses shortcomings of other work in the area of computational modelling of Piaget’s theory of sensorimotor intelligence (noted in the survey paper doi:10.1017/S0269888911000038). This research forms the foundations of a computational model of the development of infant sensorimotor skills, which subsequently led to the award of the Leverhulme grant (F/00 152/AL).
