Additional information

<20>This is one paper out of a series containing empirical studies into behaviour change. This empirical-based research led to a digital behaviour intervention that encourages people to walk more, which has undergone an initial evaluation in a real world setting. LifeScan Ltd has provided funding to adjust our digital behaviour intervention for use with diabetes patients and conduct a randomised clinical trial (Prof MacRury, UHI can corroborate this, http://tinyurl.com/qy8s53t). The behaviour change techniques developed are core to FP7 EU projects Superhub (GA289067, €7M, Oct2011-14) and MyWay (GA609023, €3.5M, Sep2014-Mar2017) that encourage people to use transport in a more sustainable way.
