Additional information

<22>This is the result of a multi-site project (with Columbia, CMU, USC, New Mexico State and Maryland Universities, and MITRE) marking the first effort of any kind to annotate multiple translations of foreign-language texts with interlingual content. The scientific interest of this research lies in defining and testing the annotation feasibility of a level of semantic representation that captures important aspects of meaning across different languages. Our annotation associates open class lexical items with ontology concepts and syntactic relations with semantic roles and provides support for the use of multilingual corpora in ontology construction.
