<22>Artificial Intelligence is one of the most prestigious journals in the field. This is the first comprehensive theoretical account of delegation and responsibility, including delegation to groups and its normative consequences. This research forms the conceptual grounding that has informed research funded within the ITA project (usukita.org, 2006-2016), consultancy for Selex ES (2012-2013) and the subsequent funding of two 42-month PhD students by Selex ES (2013-2016). In these contexts the research informs the development of practical systems to support effective command and control decision-making in complex domains.
