Additional information
This paper followed a patent filing on the topic (T. Ashley and G. R. Nash, GB Appl’n No. GB2466261, US Appl’n No. 2010/171130) and is an enhancement to technology that is now in manufacture by Gas Sensing Solutions Ltd. (Dr. Des Gibson, Chairman GSS, des@gassensing.co.uk) which resulted in several hundred thousand pounds of licence fee being paid to QinetiQ (precise amount is commercially sensitive). Technology is being further developed with TSB support by GSS and partners at Glasgow University (iain.thayne@glasgow.ac.uk).
